Hygiene machinery supplier GDM has unveiled Option Zero, a cutting-edge program designed by the company to maximize raw materials savings, to reduce time for size changes and to make production more effective to meet customers’ needs.

The Option Zero solutions include:

  • Zero Waste – Using technological and process solutions for product features with a “zero waste” design, GDM enables the elimination of trims, resulting in savings of raw materials and product costs.
  • Zero Defects – The objective of these kits is to reduce the complaints coming from the market concerning the quality of the final product. Zero Defects is a way of thinking and doing that reinforces the notion that defects are not acceptable. With a philosophy of zero defects, GDM’s customers can reduce the cost of failure and increase revenues through increased customer satisfaction.
  • Zero Glue – A set of solutions for the material bonding with ultrasonic technology. The most important benefits in eliminating the use of adhesives during the product assembly are the lower risk of glue contamination, the production costs reduction and the improvement of the quality and process performances.
  • Zero Time – The evolution of the time saving concept: using advanced process and technical solutions the size change over operations time is consistently reduced. The main advantage coming from the elimination of machine stops is the increase of productivity.

The new technological and process solutions are currently available in both GDM’s machine portfolio and as standalone upgrade kits. The company says it is unmatched in its focus on sustainability that turns results into value.
